Strategic Partnership Framatome & AnyWare for Asset Management in (nucleair) power plants

Late last year (11-2024), AnyWare and Framatome signed a strategic partnership in which they strengthen each other in the field of Asset Management software within the (nuclear) energy industry.

Framatome is an international company engaged in the design, construction and service of nuclear reactors, with a focus on safe, reliable and efficient low-carbon energy. They are active in all phases of the life cycle of nuclear facilities, from design and construction to maintenance and decommissioning.

Framatome’s activities include:

• Design and construction: The company designs and manufactures nuclear reactors and associated systems, such as nuclear power plants and nuclear propulsion for defence.
• Services: Framatome offers a wide range of services, including maintenance, modernisation, training, digital solutions and cybersecurity for the nuclear industry.
• Fuel: They supply fuel, components and raw materials for nuclear reactors, as well as designs, fabrication machinery and fuel cycle services.
• Decommissioning: Framatome provides nuclear decommissioning and clean-up solutions, with a focus on minimising radiation exposure and costs
• Innovation: The company works on innovative solutions for the nuclear sector, including digital solutions for challenging environments, robotics and remote monitoring.

Framatome operates in several countries and provides their expertise to nuclear power companies around the world. They play an important role in providing safe, reliable and efficient energy solutions for the future.

In the partnership with AnyWare, Framatome provides a software solution that ensures smart maintenance in power plants. We combine information from existing monitoring solutions and information systems, installed and active in the power plant and extend these, if necessary, with additional soft- and hardware provided by the Framatome Monitoring and Diagnostics Team.  This involves using all kinds of sensors to process as much dynamic data as possible in the AnyWare system, which, together with maintenance information and applied logic, ensures increasingly proactive and even predictive maintenance.

In addition to the on-premise installations installed last year for pilots, test and demo, we are already jointly active in the first projects. We therefore foresee a very successful collaboration in all projects that come our way internationally.
